SQL-Server-Performance.com was launched in 2000 to provide a detail knowledge base for DBA's and developers on optimising the performance of SQL Server databases.
Over the years the project has grown from a small static site to a large community site, featuring Articles, Tips, FAQ's and Forums with over 20,000 members, dozens of contributors and over 45,000 pages of SQL Server information.
While the focus of the site remains on performance issues of SQL Server, the content has been expanded to include other areas of SQL Server which are of interest to site users, such as security, auditing and development of ASP.NET front-ends for SQL Server.
If you can't find the information you need under a specific heading, be sure to try the search box at the top of every page.
Keep in mind that you should never "test" any of the information on this site on a production SQL Server. Always test each tip on a "test" or "development" server first. Each SQL Server installation is unique, and not all performance-tuning tips are designed for all SQL Server environments.
We always endeavor to keep the information on the site up-to-date, useful and accurate. If you have any suggestions or issues regarding what you have seen on the site, please feel free to get in touch with us at webmaster@sql-server-performance.com
SQl-Server-Performance.com has always been a work in progress and we continue to look for new contributors to the site. If you would like to contribute to the site by writing Articles, Tips, FAQ's or maintaining a regular blog, please review our Contribute page for more detailed information.
